Société Générale’s Theolex project shortlisted by the Financial Times for the Innovative Lawyers 2020 North America Awards
We are delighted to share that Société Générale’s Theolex project has been shortlisted by the Financial Times for the Innovative Lawyers 2020 North America Awards, in the category “Reimagining Risk Assessment.”
Theolex is tremendously grateful to the Financial Times for this recognition, and for the opportunity to share the story of how our AI-driven legal risk analytics software was originally conceptualized and designed as part of Société Générale's Internal Startup Call (1). Theolex was developed within the Legal Department of Société Générale, thanks in large part due to the leadership and support of Mr. Gilles Briatta, Group General Secretary, and Mr. Dominique Bourrinet, Group General Counsel.
The development of this innovative product was made possible thanks to the partnership with Joydeep Sengupta in the Compliance, Investigations and Regulatory Department at Mayer Brown in Paris, who has represented Société Générale for several years in cross-border investigations involving regulators and prosecutors around the world. We are delighted that Mayer Brown has also been shortlisted by the Financial Times for this year’s Innovative Lawyers 2020 North America Awards in the category “Digitizing the Practice of Law,” which recognizes the firm’s collaboration with Theolex in developing the AI product. Société Générale and Mayer Brown are both clients of Theolex.
